Dear O2 Forum,
I am writing to you today to express my serious concern and dissatisfaction with the service I have been receiving as an O2 customer. Despite its higher cost, the main motivation behind my choosing O2 was its renowned reputation for providing superior coverage and service. However, my experiences thus far have proven to be quite the contrary.
In my domestic setting, the coverage quality has been notably poor, resulting in frequent call drops, delayed messages, and slow internet speed. Similarly, the problem persists internationally, rendering the so-called "Global Coverage" a mere marketing phrase rather than a service reality. Being constantly connected as a consultant is paramount since it directly impacts my professional capabilities and livelihood.
I have attempted several suggestions to resolve these issues, all of which have proven futile. From switching to 2G, rebooting my device multiple times, to manually selecting a network - none of these has improved the situation. I am now at my wit's end, seeking help and assistance from this forum.
I am fully aware that I am within a contract, and I have diligently fulfilled my part by making regular payments for a service that I am not receiving. Therefore, I kindly request your POV and suggestions on the next steps.
I understand that O2 is a part of the UK's Network Quality Assurance Framework (from OfCom - I do not recollect the actual name). As such, I believe it is your responsibility to ensure the quality of service promised is indeed the quality of service delivered to your customers. Please advise me on the best action - should I switch to a different network?
I hope my cribbing will instigate the necessary improvements for me and all other customers facing similar issues.
