Hey. I’ve recently moved to the US. I’m running a dual sim in my IPhone with my o2 pay-as-you-go SIM card being the physical one. I am able to receive text messages but I cannot receive calls. When someone tries to call, they receive the message ‘it has not been possible to connect your call.’
Please can someone help?

If not already, manually select T Mobile network.

To make and receive calls in the USA you need 4G Calling.
That is not available to PAYG customers at present so that SIM will not work
What is the other SIM and does that have 4G Calling (VoLTE) turned on

I have a digital AT&T as the default. I am receiving calls on my US number. Would call forwarding from the UK to US number be a viable workaround?

Again you are stuck. Forwarding to any number other than Voicemail can't be done from PAYG, so no way to forward it to you USA number.
Even if you could you would be charged for an international call by O2

T-Mobile still has a 2g network running so you need to try that.

Sorry, what should I try on the 2G network? Seems o2’s PAYG is pretty much useless outside of the UK 🙁

Calls should be possible on a 2g or 3g network.
It's only calls over 4g that PAYG sims can't cope with.

I switched to the 2G network but still got the same issue

Try rebooting the phone now @AD2012
