I currently have an iPhone se gen2 which is 4g.
I am upgrading to an iPhone se gen3 which has 5g.
will my old sim card from the gen2 se work for 5g in the new gen3 se?

@SW6Steve You will need a new sim card if you want 5G. A new sim may come with the phone and you can do a sim swap: SIM Swap: a mini guide (incl eSim) - O2 Community or if you want an esim you will have to request an esim pack.
Easiest thing to do is call into an O2 store if you have one nearby and they'll set the phone up for you. Be sure to bring photo ID if you choose to do that.

As @Bambino says, go to an O2 Store. The O2 Store team will also check that 5G service has been enabled on your account as part of the SIM upgrade process, @SW6Steve - then all you need is to be in a location that has been upgraded to 5G, and all should work for you. Don't forget the photo id. Good luck!
