Please can someone help me as my son got this text from o2 y/day

Need to Top Up ? We'll give you an extrta £15 allowance for calls texts or data if you top up £15 or more once before 23/07/15 . You'll have 5 days to use the extra allowance

so we stopped up tonight but it has only registered the £15 we topped up with . Does it take time to give the extra allowance ?

This is dependent on his tariff. It wont show immediately but will have been applied. If he needs to make a double check then ring 4445 tomorrow. (or check in his My O2 account http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Info on PAYG tariffs here http://www.o2.co.uk/tariffs/payandgo

It's usually in the form of 'virtual' credit, meaning it won't show on the phone, and will be used automatically before the actual credit on the phone.

Various versions of this issue reported in the past.
Sometimes it doesn't show up and you have no way of knowing how much you've got / used and other times it will appear on the account after the systems have updated overnight.
Either way, if you see your balance dropping before it should you need to contact CS to check your account for you.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
