Upgrading with someone else?

Anonymous
Not applicable

My phone is due to expire on the 9th January but it says i can upgrade a month early.

I have looked on o2s website and the likes of Carphone Warehouse etc are a lot cheaper.

My question is can i go into Carphone Warehouse and upgrade with them and go with a different network or do i have to wait until my contract ends in January, cancel it and get a new contract?

If you are taking your number with you and requesting a PAC you don't have to give notice. Just use your PAC on your new network a couple of days before the actual contract end date. This will cancel your contract with O2 immediately and by leaving it until just before your end date you won't have any extra to pay.
If you do it just after your end date you will be billed for another month.
If not taking your number then yes, you have to give notice.

Yes, you can go to CPW.
If you want to change networks you can't do it until January (except for paying off your last month)
If staying with O2 you can upgrade early.

you give 30 days notice or ask for a pac code if you want to keep the number.

If you do nothing it will become a 30 day rolling contract
