I've been using Simplicity 500 Texts + 100 Mins + 500MB for 16.50 a month for almost 3 years now, and by chance I came across the Big Bundle that cover 100 minutes, 1000 texts and 500MB of 2G/3G data in the UK for £10 a month.
Now right off the bat this seems like an amazing deal and I would be a fool to not switch before my next monthly cycle kicks in.
Big question is the mentioning of 2g/3g. I have a Samsung Galaxy 3S (early model before they rolled out the 4g versions), and usually get H+ speeds. I know H+ is a stronger type of 3G internet, but if I switch to this new Big Bundle will still get H+ or will my speed get capped at 3G, and I'll need to the higher £15 per month plan to access H+?
Thanks in advance.

You won't get any difference in data or speeds but a big difference in your wallet

Could I query if actually the OP CAN switch to a 'lower price' tariff? I thought there were restrictions on this?

You can change on Simplicity every 30 days whether contract or P&G. As the OP has been on the same tariff for 3 years it's likely he can just change to a more suitable tariff.
You are correct that when in a 12/24 month contract you can't lower the tariff now.

As it requires a switch to PAYG yes. You can then switch to any of the available PAYG tariff's once a month.
