So I recently got a new phone as a gift I’ve put my contract SIM card in to it I’ve seen other posts on here saying that it could be because it’s black listed I decided to check and the phone is not black listed could it be because I’m putting my contract SIM card into the new phone I tried to call O2 but due to the current issue they are only answering urgent calls how am I supposed to solve this issue I have also double checked by getting my partner to put his SIM card into my new phone and it isn’t saying anything about the phone not being allowed.

@I8MyName The new phone you were given as a gift, is it unlocked to any network?

Is your partner on the same network as you?

Best thing is to go instore. They will decide if your phone needs a new sim and give other advice.

If you want to call then all numbers in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

0800 587 4005 seems the best one to call.

Then you probably need a new sim @I8MyName

You can get one instore as they are now open, or by calling O2 on any of the numbers in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

0800 587 4005 is the best one to try.
