Pay and go go go taking credit??

Anonymous
Not applicable

Just changed from my old pay and go tariff which gave me free texts and data when I topped up £10, nothing was deducted from this top up for the free extras. I changed to pay and go go go as this seemed to advertise as having more free extras for my £10 top up.

Having changed £10 was deducted from my credit and my allowance given. This now appears to be a far worse deal tha what I was on previously!! It's also my understanding now that I cannot go back to my previous tariff?? I find this a disgrace as I only changed due to the latest tariffs being advertised as an improvement.

Could someone please advise on the exact specifics of how these current 'pay and go' tariffs work as they seem more like a contract without and actual contract to me?

With the unlimited tariff's you keep your £10 or £15 top up as credit.
You get more allowances on go go go but it does cost you the top up each month.
I believe text and web is still available but you'd need to call CS on 4445 if you want to go back to that tariff but you'd have to wait until next month as you can only change once per month.

Hi.

I am on the pay as you go go go 4G.

You are given an anniversary date each month. This then refreshes your allowances. Ie texts , minutes and data. They're do not roll over introns second month and as such are lost if not used up.

You should get a text message near your anniversary date telling you to top up in time.

On your anniversary date £10 is taken to pay for the allowances.

If you miss your top up date then you would switch to basic standard charges until you top up again and your allowances would start again with a new anniversary date.

If you wish to choose another style of tariff then go into your My02 and choose another tariff that's available to you and that would start in your next anniversary date.

Or ring O2 on 4445 or request the change via live chat.

Ok so as I understand it now, these allowances are not 'free' as they were on my previous pay and go tariff, but are in fact payed for once a month. Is there still an O2 tariff that gives reward allowances simply for topping up as mine used to do.

THe o2 unlimited tariff appears to be this as it says that by topping up £10 a month I will get free texts and 50mb of data. Will this mean I have £10 credit and the free texts on top of that or will they take credit off me like the go go go tariff? I am a little hesitant now.

THanks,
