Online account not registering my number

Hi, 

I'm trying to log in to my online account and then it asks me to register my phone number by sending a text to my number. When i do this and type my phone number in, it says that my number is already linked to another user. How can this be so? I need to access my bill to make a cashback claim on my tariff.

Any help out there?
