Moved number to new sim and tariff, account displays wrong number

Hi

I purchased a new Nokia 625 with a new sim after upgrading from an old Nokia 6500, this morning I transferred my old number to the new sim and all appears fine on the phone but I went login to "my account" on the o2 sign in page, it's still displaying the number I had when I bought the phone.

I was on a simple pay and go tariff on my old phone/sim and have gone for a new tariff of
4G Pay & Go Go Go 500 Texts + 75 Mins + 500MB (Anytime 500 texts to UK mobiles, 75 anytime minutes to UK mobiles and landlines, 500MB data in the UK for £15.00 a month).

1) Will my account details hopefully be updated in the next 24 hours to show the number I transferred onto the new sim?
2) I topped up £15 BEFORE I transferred number on the new sim, have I lost the £15 or will the tariff be transferred over as well? (This is what I'm most worried and confused about).

Hopefully I've explained my situation in plain English, thanks for reading, Robin.

Likewise my number port went through very smoothly. As I recall o2 took about 5 days to get my online account set up.

But set up it was. And o2's systems update much fatter than Vodafone does

Hi

It normally takes about 24 hours.

If still no change, give CS a call, we don't recommend live chat.

Hope this helps!

Did you tell them you already had an O2 account or did they generate a new one?
If you got any papers with the phone check the print outs for a new account number which will give you a new log in.

When I first joined O2 from Vodafone it took quite a while for my number to update even though the number port went smoothly.

Still no change in my account (I'm aware it's the weekend) and also for some reason they have been deducting a £1 a day off my mobile for data!?! :robotfrustrated: I've only been using my own wi-fi connection at home.

You need to turn your cellular data off otherwise you will carry on being charged £1 per day.

It sounds silly but even though you have your wifi on, the phone will still use your data

Change your wifi settings to "always on" and it will stop it reverting to mobile data when the phone sleeps. Otherwise, turn off Mobile data completely.
