I opted for a £15 big bundle which includes double data (30 instead of 15GB) and £10 free credit. Sounds great but.....
I only got 15gb of data when I topped up. I tried texting to claim but that didn't work either

I texted to claim my £10 free credit and received a text to say I would need to top up at least £10 before I could get the credit despite just having paid £15.
Looks like my first top up could be my last.

You also have to text to opt into the rewards programme.
Double Rewards offer: new and existing customers with an Eligible Bundle must also be opted into the O2 rewards programme by texting REWARDS to 50202 before 22nd June to be eligible for double Rewards for 3 months. Rewards for existing customers will begin from the following month after signing up to the offer.

Confirmed by O2 CS you do not need to be in the rewards programme to get the double data,
@Martin-O2 did you get an answer as I am tempted to believe Customer Services both over the phone and by twitter than the information that is provided by MI5... As its wrong

@madasaf1sh I've not had a response back yet so will chase it up today. I've had a look at the terms & conditions and it does seem to me that the double data and rewards are 2 separate.
@MI5 Can you please share the page where you are getting the info you quoted.
