Can someone explain to me why, after purchasing a new handset via an O2 upgrade, I have now used all my data, 30GB, half way through the month? I’ve had this amount of data for the last two years and never once came close to using it all, now in the first month with a new handset (Iphone 12) i’ve used it all. Equally alarming is the fact I received the 80% alert and the alert to say I had users all my data over night!! So on both occasions I received the message alerts on getting up in the morning both times?! What the ****** is going on with O2?
I now, very ******ing conveniently, have to buy bolt ins to get to my bill date when I get data back...

@Paul77 Your new phone was most likely updating all your apps, and used your data rather than WiFi. If you want your phone to update over WiFi only you need to turn off WiFi Assist, as per the link above.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
