Charges for receiving call

Hi I am currently living in Russia and received calls from a friend in the UK on the 31st of May, today I received an email from o2 saying i have been charged 182 pounds? I thought calls were free to receive so I am very confused about this.

If you live in Russia are you still with O2?

If so, it costs £2.00 per minute to receive a call from the UK as it's not an EU country

Ok thank you, I've just been speaking to someone on o2 live chat who said I should ring 202 about this. Is that definitely free to call?

if you are on contract its free to call....If on PAYG it will cost international rates
