Called from 01143560018 is this a genuine O2 call centre number

Offering a discount due to price increases.  Texted me a number to read back to them then asked for my first school.   Gave them texted number but not the security info.

Scam?

I went on to the online chat but they weren't sure?

Block the number and report it free to 7726.
