Best pay monthly plan

I'm looking a getting a pay monthly o2 mobile. Could anyone advise the best pay monthly, add ins or whatever plan for the following:
My wife works in Spain during the summer and has a pay as you go o2 uk mobile and a Spanish mobile. I normally call the Spanish mobile daily. What is the cheapest/best way/plan of calling either phone.
Is there a benefit of calling one over the other without her incurring charges also?

Forgot to say that I'm calling her from the uk.

You'll need to add the international bolt on to call a Spanish mobile but you can call a uk mobile from any allowances you have on your tariff.
