Apple Watch Series 4 - Cellular

Hi ALL,

I used to have a Apple iPhone on O2 and have since ended my contract but my provider is now with Sky with the same phone.

I'm interested in a Apple Watch Series 4 (on Cellular) with O2 (due to eSim provider) and would like to know if I can use the watch as a stand alone item to make calls without linking it to my iPhone on Sky.

Basically, I'm interested in just using the Apple watch to make and receive calls without linking it to my iPhone that is with Sky and without buying another Apple mobile phone just to have it linked to the watch.

Is this possible?

You can only link it to your phone via Bluetooth to mirror your phone.

You can receive calls on it but you would still need your phone on you.

Basically it would only work like the none cellular version.
