I currently have a xiaomi redmi note 10 pro, I am thinking of buying an unlocked Pixel 9.  Do I just take out the sim card from my Xaiomi and put it into the Pixel to transfer everything and start using it with the same number, or will I have to speak to customer service?

Thanks

Swapping the nano SIM from the Redmi Note 10 Pro to the Pixel 9 will work fine. If your Note has been backing up to Google drive, you'll find the Pixel 9, on first boot, will offer to restore apps from Google to the phone.

WhatsApp, if you use it, will need to be configured in app settings to back up to Google drive, and will then ask if you want to restore that backup when you first logon on the Pixel 9. You may find the Pixel and the Note can be connected by USB cable and transfer all apps that way.

You will need to tell the Pixel 9 that you are using O2 Prepay so all O2 settings for APN, SMS Centre, etc, are correctly configured.

Good luck, @Twp. Make sure the Pixel 9 has been reset to Factory Default before transferring the SIM card and all should transfer fine.

Banking apps may need to be configured Post-Upgrade.
