I sent a phone in last year and within 3-4 days I got a text and a few emails to inform me my phone had been checked over and was fine.

I have did it again because I wanted the s25 and a cheaper bill due to personal circumstances, I sent my s24 away nearly 2 weeks ago now and Royal Mail says it was delivered on 10th Feb. I have emailed o2 recycling to ask if all was okay and received no reply at all, even though it states someone will be in touch within 48 hours. o2 chat help said it can take up to 5 days to be checked, well it's  been 8 working days now and absolutely nothing. I just don't understand.

Is this normal?

A quick search of the forum, for "SwitchUp", would help you get the answer to that question, @JayIgnition88 -

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=SwitchUp&noSynonym=false&sort_by=-topi...

Community guidance for SwitchUp is to do this in an O2 Shop, not via the online service, O2's performance in the last 18months for SwitchUp makes for gruesome reading.

Your best bet now is to keep on at O2 via Social Media until you get a helpful agent who can find out for you. Use one of the options below to do that, and be firm, polite and persistent:

Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. According to o2 chat today on Twitter, my phone was delivered 10th Feb, and then checked and passed quality check on 14th Feb. I have not once been notified and I have no idea why, but I can now put my mind at ease.

Thank you

You're welcome, @JayIgnition88 - for a telecom company, communication seems not to be a feature of VMO2's MO of late. So it goes. Glad you got a meaningful answer 👍🏼
