My contract is now at an end with O2 and I want to keep my phone but just have SIM only contract- do I just order a SIM only contract online then cancel my other contract and keep my number?

Easiest is to just call CS on 202 and have them swap it over on the computer.
You can just carry on as normal as all will be changed at their end.
