Fraud O2 caller from ‭0330 303 5323‬

Just had an interesting conversation with someone who purports to be an O2 adviser ringing from ‭0330 303 5323‬ with an offer of Apple stuff. Alarm bells began to ring when they asked for my address and bank details. Which I did not offer. They rang off when I suggested that they either pass me on to their line manager or give me their name, phone and extension number.

A common occurance.
Block the number so they can't contact you again.

You did  exactly the right thing @Anonymous. Never, never, never give out your name or address or bank details to a cold caller. There's so much publicity about these kinds of scams these days I'm amazed that anyone still does.

An offer of Apple stuff? That’s definitely alarm bells as for all Apple stuff they’d be out to make a ton of cash not likely a decent offer

I doubt there would be any phone sent whether it was Apple or not. Once you give your bank details over, job done. That's all they want....

That would be very desperate. The reason Apple​is used is because it seems people are desperate to get their hands on one for Christmas gifts. Big money coming from those accounts.

As we've already identified it as a scam on previous threads....those words 'and now if you just give me your bank details' would send me running for the hills...then I would block the number...
