Hello,

I wondered if anyone could provide any help/expertise to my current situation as I feel like I have exhausted all options and thought I would try seek help from others as a last resort.

Myself and my wife have sold our house of over 20 years and found our dream house however all of this has been put on hold as I have been informed o2 have put a default notice on my account. I own a business and had multiple mobiles phones for my staff and my family all in my name however this was not a business account just a personal one. A company then got in touch with me to see if I would be interested in having a business account with them but still staying with o2 network. Long story short I went with this company and informed o2 that I was needing to settle any outstanding phone payments as I was moving to a business account but not through my name through a business telephone company. The new business telephone company explained to me that i need to pay any outstanding money off with o2 and then I need to send an invoice to themselves (the business phone company) and they would pay me the money. This is because I was getting 3 new iPhone 15 through them and I was sending them my old iPhone in the post.

I made sure everything was paid and I haven't heard anything since until applying for my new mortgage and being rejected due to a default notice on my account. I rang o2 straight away to try and get this sorted however they told me that I do not owe anything and I would need to have this removed from the credit file team however they said there is no number for this and i can only email. This has been going on for weeks now and I have spent hours on the phone going through to different departments, I have sent emails to credit file team , amendment team and o2 complaints. I have not heard anything back at all. I even got in touch with my business telephone account company and explained everything to them and they got in touch with o2 (as o2 is still the network provider) and they emailed me back saying there is nothing owing on my account. I have looked at check my file and it now says updated balance 0 but the dealt is still there and i worry this will be on my file for years to come.

This was a massive decision choosing to sell the house where myself and my family have lived for over 20 years and I cant even reassure my family and get excited about a new place because I cant get a mortgage. I would be so grateful if someone could please help or point me in the right  direction in order to have this removed as I feel like my whole life is on hold all because of this notice.

Thank you in advance

@RICH-M170501

I can ask our community manager to have a look at this for you as you have done everything you can and are currently in 'no mans land'.

@Dave-O2I know this is a big ask but can you do anything to help @RICH-M170501?

O2 are saying he owes nothing.

Complaints are taking 8 weeks to process at the minute @Adnan123 from what other people are saying, so be aware you might have a wait.

Alright mate , o2 promised me that they would get the default removed and also refund my £24 that was back in January.I made another complaint 2 months ago but still waiting. Do you think I should email credit referrals or just wait? Thanks
