Hi. I've just got a new LTE Google Watch and I want to set it up on my O2 Account, so I can recieve calls via the watch, but I can find no instruction on how to do this. I think I need an e-sim? Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe the watch is supported on O2 at the moment.

Here is the lists of networks that do.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

You can't,  o2 is not supported by the Pixel Watch, the Pixel Watch only supports EE and Vodafone, as such it wont work with LTE on o2.

You also need a device / sim plan with EE or Vodafone as well to use the Watch.

I've just been called by o2 sales. I asked for clarity on this and he said they definitely do support it - you just need to call customer service and they can link the watch via eSim to the data plan. I said I didn't really think that was the case, but I'll try anyway. I'm going to be very disappointed if on a call for hours and it ends up being impossible. but I'll report back if it works.

Yes, please do report. There is an off-chance that Google's list is out of date

Googles list isnt out of Date,...

I have a Pixel Watch in front of me, and we are having issues setting up with EE, and Google have asked which network, and if it isnt on EE or Voda, it is unsupported, and you wont get anywhere with the App, as it just stops..  with this screen

It is at this moment in time not compatible with o2, o2 sales are talking tosh, and an esim wont work, as the watch doesnt know about the o2 configuration.

Yeah, I tried to explain but they were adamant that it could be done if tech support 'connect' to the date plan via the phone. I have no confidence that's true, but I'll give it a whirl

This is the current thread https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/thread/183835058?hl=en&msgid=183988381

And this one here... o2 have lied to other customers: https://support.google.com/googlepixelwatch/thread/182966896/will-o2-be-added-as-a-lte-provider-in-u...

And Google have confirmed in this thread as well.

This thread is useful. Excuse ignorance of this question, but if I get an LTE version of the watch, presumably I can still use WiFi connectivity to make calls from my o2 phone sim?

If o2 are included in list of approved companies at a later date, I could look into an e-sim for LTE usage?
