Lumia 640 - bluetooth car problems

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I've just got this phone. I can bluetooth to the car but there are 2 problems:

1) the person on the other phone comes across very quiet when on a call, even on full volume

2) the contacts don't sync. There is no request to do so upon connection.

I have deleted the phone and reconnected from scratch but still the same.

Is there a way to fix this? (My car is a Volvo and no problems with a Lumia 625 or Galaxy S6 Edge).

thanks

Try pairing it with another car to see if the issue follows phone or car.
As I say, mine works fine with my Skoda.

I guess it's a problem with your car?
My Lumia 640 works fine in my car - Try your dealer to see if there is a software upgrade available, or check and make sure your phone is fully updated.

I guess it could be the car. The car and phone are both up to date. Considering my previous 625 was ok I would have thought this wouldn't have been a problem.

Thanks

I found that if you adjust phone volume whist it is connected to the car bluetooth the option offered adjusts bluetooth volume, when you do a soft reset (volume down & power) the phone volume is reduced but occasionally it does not restore its original settings and maybe the bluetooth volume is also reduced.
