Hi,

I have an old o2 number I need to retrieve.

I was advised ( and lied to ) by o2 stating that if I took out a pay monthly contract they could indeed reactivate my old number and it would be preloaded on the sim, sim car arrived, wrong number etc..

After speaking back with o2 ( hours of my week wasted ) I was told this could not be done.

I need the number back, I still have it loaded on whatsapp to receive messages and calls, will this aid in an way.

I can also provide numbers called etc, credit card topped up from etc.

Any advice appreciated.

@T-Shanahan

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

Seems you have fallen for the hard sell which seems to be happening more since the Virgin takes over.

It will depend on how long the number has been disconnected and if it was an O2 number and not ported in whether it can be retrieved

Personally I would keep with the social media team. The normal customer services are useless, as you have found

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
