I have lost my phone. since my O2 seems to have no link to that end, hell I'm not buying something.

Contact o2 asap to report the loss so they can block your account and phone.

Ah. wait a moment.  That link just brought me back to the same place I've just been.  Got hold that thought, we're really busy, chat not initialised. And on the retry, back to hold that thought. Surely they must have some kind of link other than this?

If you had any passwords stored in the phone or was still logged into sites then change them asap.

Call the numbers and use the lost or stolen option on the IVR - It's a 24 hour service.
