I'm so pleased to see British films/actors in the nominations.

The Favourite, Bohemian Rhapsody and Stan & Ollie to name but three.

I think the Favourite and Bohemian Rhapsody should walk away with a few awards. Fingers crossed fingers_crossed

Exciting, I'll try and remember to ask you in a few weeks how you liked it! smiling Are you going to follow the ceremony on Sunday or just check the results afterwards?

I just noticed on Amazon the dvd for The Favourite is also available for pre-order ... might be of some interest to you? wink

Hi @EmilieT

I always find it most amusing that the Arts give "themselves" awardsGood Idea

Why don't the Essential Services Sector give "themselves" awards ~ Fastest person to work! award

Happiest Person at the Electricity Board award  The Ambulance Services awards ~ Nurses Services awards ~  Starchiest uniform award ~  Miners or Builders or Engineers or Mechanics awards?

They could all cheer and clap each other, make long speeches of love and admiration. Fantastic

Just sayin' my thoughts on the whole "love in"

@TallTrees

That's a lovely idea! Some companies or sectors of work have their own awards, it's just generally less spoken of outside of the sector or covered in the wider news I think. I'm not sure about essential services specifically but I'll have a look around online, I'm curious to find out more on the subject. smiling

@Cleoriff

Now that's an impressive performance from The Favourite! astonished I've not seen either of the three movies you mentioned but I'll pencil them downso I don't forget to watch them when the DVDs come out ... Were you surprised by any of the winners?
