Hey, I’ve lost my sim and I’m in Australia I’ve tried to log into my O2 but saying they need to text me to verify I’m me. Please help

You should report your sim lost.
O2 then will send out a new sim to your UK address.

After you've followed the excellent advice given by @TallTrees above, think about using a local PAYG sim.
You can stay in touch with family and friends via FB Messenger or Whatsapp over Wifi.
