Say Goodbye to Unlimited Data Tariffs

Looks like O2 are going to follow AT&T's lead by getting rid of the Unlimited Data tariffs for smartphones and iPhones.

Doesn't even look like they're goig to do an unlimited data bolt on!

This could get very expensive!

Just found this on Which Website

Pure profiteering, I for one after a year of terrible service and awful reception will be switching providers rather than upgrading - The new tarriffs are a complete retrograde step! - may even just but a payg iPhone 4 and use a 3 sim that has amazing internet deals and tarriffs.

Another kick in the teeth to customers is the new Giff gaff network setup by O2 that offers unlimited data on ALL PAYG tariffs!

Yes, all the networks have done this or are doing it. Vodafone are even changing it for existing customers.
If you look at the US, they charge $19 a month for 250megabytes!

Unlimited data will still be available for existing custoers until they change contract or upgrade their phone.

This is one way a service provider could steal all of the iPhone4 Custom, offer unlimited data plans.
Put it this way, If another provider offers unlimted data, that's where I'll be heading and I suspect many people will do the same thing.

Well that has just made my decision wether or not to pay the early upgrade fee a whole lot easier grin

I think i shall stick with my 3Gs until the networks start a head to head for iPhone customers

Sort it out o2!!!
