Hey all

I'm getting a 17 yr old guy and a 14 yr old girl sending me text messages over and over, "nerd", ***** etc, i've had 100 in the last 6 minutes and i want to know if theres any way i can get them banned.

I'm aware of the customer services, but im a bit shy, is there any other way?

thx alot!

That really is the worst thing to do, shame on you for giving such poor advice in such a flippant manner at what must be a very upsetting time for the OP.

The best thing to do is ignore the texts and don't answer the calls. They will soon stop if they get no reaction. If they continue then contact O2, who will be sympathetic, details of what you can do about nuisance calls are on the O2 website. Click "Support", then "General Help" then in the search box type "Nuisance Calls", finally click "I want to stop receiving nuisance calls/messages"

If you don't want to talk to O2 then you can email them.

Yes Arjun, that's not like you! Humour is good in the right context but Joshua 552 has a genuine concern. These nuisance texts are tantamount to a form of bullying and the 'nuisance calls' team need to deal with this. The worst thing to do would be to ring the numbers involved as this would let them know the texts are doing their intended effect. O2 will offer a free change of number but as the senders are known to him, they will be able to obtain his new number. They need to be made aware of the consequences of their actions via the proper channels so, PLEASE Joshua 552, call o2 as soon as possible.

I'm sorry yes, thats not really suppose to be advice, just a very hideous joke during a grim time.

But as the above posters have said, just report ASAP, they will listen to you as I've actually experienced Nuisance Calls before, contact the Nuisance Calls Bureau and they will deal with the texts.

Sorry once again.

If you want, I'll try and find you a direct Nuisance Calls Bureau email address with the person I've spoken to a few months back, if you dont want to speak over the phone to them.

Edit: Joshua, Check ur PM's. wink
