Question regarding DSG staff 02 discount offer?

I work for pcworld part of DSG and just found out I could have got 30% staff discount off simplicity or an o2 contract, alot of staff at work already have it but they say they went too an o2 store and some o2 staff knew of it and the other half didnt, many staff told me u just gotta try your luck in different stores !

Ive sadly just signed onto simplictiy 02 but is there someone I can speak too or email too try and get my 30% discount off my existing o2 sim ?

Just in case anyone searches this in future.....

DSG staff can get 35% discount but u gotta start fresh on your contract or payments and begin anew, u will require a DSG code which a manager at work should know off and then u can pop into an o2 store and get your 35% discount on simplicity or a contract...

I am still within the 14 days money back option so gonna act quickly on that one...

Hey guys.
I work for Currys and looking online i found this post. Is there something I need to do to get the discount? Like bring in a payslip to an o2 store. Or will there be something on Click/Cool for me to get?
And is it still running? I know it's been a few months since your posts.

Hi,
Just so you know, you can get discount. You don't need a code from anyone. Just go into an O2 store with your payslip. Don't let the sales advisor be confused with the Open card scheme they do with lots of other employers. DSG are a channel partner and they have to select that option on their system. You simply have give a few details and your employee number. If the store insist you need a code get them to ring staff accounts, they know the score!
My other top tip is take the phone number for staff accounts and ensure the discount has been applied after a few days.

Just to confirm this one, just rang up O2 on the number supplied above and they stated that as a DSG employee I would be eligible for a 30% discount off line rental. It can however only be applied in the first 14 days of a new contract, so If I stick with O2 once my upgrade comes around in September I will be taking advantage of this then.

I went into my local o2 store and the girl I spoke to told me that the discount wouldn't apply to the iphone 3gs. I then phoned staff accounts and they told me that as a DSGI employee the discount is done as a 'channel partner' and this applies to all phones. So don't let anyone in store *** you because I doubt all in-store staff know the ins and outs of it. Best to ring staff accounts to get a truly reliable response.
