Poor reception

Wouldn't a lot of poor reception problems be solved if the Ofcom regulator insisted that all the mobile networks in the UK allow roaming.
Roaming allows customers' phones to connect to another operator's network if their own service provider is not available in a particular area.
We should all write/email our MPs to pester them into action.

It's already been suggested by the government.

Why should the mobile networks allow national roaming? Its a good way to stifle investment in the networks as none will pay to upgrade their networks.

There is already a solution just google anywhere sim?

How much are you willing to pay for this facility? 10p per text/minute/mb? i doubt it would be free...

I can see why networks would be opposed to quite apart from the supposed lack of invstment. If you have a contract with say O2, limited coverage in your home but you are allowed to 'roam' on EE for 90% of your usage, who should you be paying your monthly fee to. OK, O2 obviously but you can see why EE would be wondering how this could be right.
