The UK telecoms watchdog has cast doubt on the merger of O2 and Three winning regulatory approval.
Ofcom chief executive Sharon White said in a speech in London on Wednesday night that "four operators is a competitive number".
The proposed £10.2bn ($15.6bn) deal would reduce the number of UK mobile networks from four to three.

Now me wonders if this will go ahead and do I now move to a more reliable signal reception where I live? I'd actually like to get a single bar of 2G from O2 that lasts for more than 10 minutes.

If all you're getting is a single bar of 2G for 10 minutes, and you can get a more reliable signal from a different provider, why are you even contemplating staying with O2 in the first place?

..because once I get out of the area I live in, then the signal is fine and ok to stay with O2.
Costwise, they are better than Vodafone, 3 and EE on a like-for-like deal.
It's just when I am at home where the problem is. If TuGo was better then I wouldn't even think about moving.
