O2 told me the wrong discount.

Hi guys,

Right, so I rang up o2 before and was wanting to leave as I found a better contract else where. The lady who spoke to me (I think she was called Shelly) said that she could offer me £33.05 p/m on the double data deal with my o2 open discount. I ring back about 5 minutes later to set it up, and the guy said that it was £35 p/m. Now I know it's only £2 a month difference, but I'm a student and I'm on a limit on how much I can spend on my phone. Is there anything that anyone can do as I was promised this discount by her and I'm not overly happy with the outcome.

Thanks in advance.

Discount help thread is here - you can work out for yourself what the price should be http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/O2-Open-and-Friends-and-Family-Discount-Schemes...
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Anonymous This is a customer to customer forum. You will have to speak to customer service again at some point. If you're not happy with the discount and are still intent on going elsewhere, make sure you can get good coverage in your most frequent places from whichever network you decide to go to. A better deal is worthless if you don't get a good signal.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
