I’ve been trying to access my account to cancel my airtime contract on my iPad however anytime I try to sign in it sends the authentication codes to the number linked to the iPad which only has data so no texts can be received but I can’t get on to my O2 to update my details with my mobile number without passing the authentication. I’ve tried the virtual assistant and I’ve tried contacting O2 to no avail. I’ve been going in circles for days now and am beyond frustrated all the while paying for a service I don’t want with seemingly no way to cancel.

Can you take the SIM out of the iPad and slot it into your phone temporarily in order to receive the code, @AngryCustomer4?

It is the only way for SIMs in devices other than phones, eg tablets, burglar or personal safety alarms, etc.

Good luck!

All the ways to cancel the sim are here Guide: Cancelling Your Contract  but you will need to call o2 as there is no way to cancel online at this time...
