Does anyone have a source for O2's plans to activate new masts on the Network, or any idea who a mere consumer could ask?
A new mast was constructed near by at Eastbury (we got no mobile signal from anyone - except a sort of Vodaphone kludge that involved the installation of several public femtocells in various houses, the pub and village hall round the village).
The tower was finished at the end of March, the planning says that it has antennae from MBNL (3 & EE) and CTIL ( Telefonica & Vodafone). A strong EE signal appeared about mid April (reports from EE customers suggest excellent 4G speeds). A 3 signal appeared at the end of April. So MBNL seem to have got the tower live on their networks. We still get Vodafone via the femtocells (I think) but nothing yet from O2.
IS there any way of finding out
a) are O2 planning to provide a signal from this tower?
b) when it might happen?
If not I might find myself migrating to EE (or 3).

@Anonymous If the original planning application included the cornerstone partners o2 and Vodafone then the mast will at some point be activated but who knows as timescales are not given .

O2 don't give out timescales. They have to ask land access etc
