*****Network issues - Crawley*****

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi,
I am having issues getting signal at gossops green in Crawley, signal is normally fine, however last night could not obtain anything across 2/3G and edge.
I have a few friends experiencing similar issues on o2.
On checking your network status, it advises network is operating fine but work has taken place in the last 24 hours. Was this work to decrease the service!?
Anyone else experiencing similar or o2 even aware of the issue?

Our network?
We are all customers here.
I would check the Status page again and if its not updated then call O2 to report a fault. They'll take you through faulty finding before logging it.

Have you checked your postcode on the O2 Status checker to see if there are any reported problems?
Goto status.o2.co.uk and enter your postcode. If there is nothing listed, then following the advice above.

My wife and I got new phones very recently and because they are smartphones we expected a slight drop in service, we live in coxcomb walk, which is very close to buckswood drive as the crow flies.
In doors now we have no signal at all, where we had a full signal before, the current status checker say -
"Sorry a phone mast in this area isn't working
This means your service might come and go until we fix it.
Updated 00:20 (refreshed hourly). Recent faults might not show yet."
Now this seems to me that this mast obviously hasn't worked for a couple of weeks, if you guys have been having problems, I'll let you know if anything happens soon, as I have quite a few issues with O2 after this afternoons live chat.

There is alot of work going on to install new equipment, you could be on the receiving end of this, there is normally some loss of service whilst this happens 😞 but it cannot be helped as they move this new equipment from one old MSC to a new MSC.
Also it could be a software update which would lose you service for a little time, they do have people going out and checking the area after these 2 above issues have been carried out though.

Well, it's happened again, rubbish signal and there is another (or maybe the same one) mast down, less than a fortnight than it happened last time.
What the hell is going on ?
