Why doesn't the My O2 app utilise the app icon frames like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Slimming World, Pet's At Home VIP...I could go on here. Is this really that hard to do?

I guess they choose not to so as to be distinctive from the rest.

Nah, it just makes them look like every other app developer who could be bothered to utilise it.

The main thing is that the app works...perfectly. No need for fancy designs or they might break it!

It's not fancy. It just lets the icon fill the shape of the icon style other Samsung icons follow. It then let's it look right.

But that’s the point.. it’s not a Samsung icon and there are hundreds of app icons which don’t use frames.
It’s developers choice.

It's just a shame as it looks better when it's used properly.

I think it's all down to a matter of personal choice @JimmyGS2?

It makes no difference to me at all. The app works well, looks fine and that's all it needs to do (in my humble opinion) wink

App works perfectly fine. No need to add a silly gimmick

Check out the icon for the My O2 app on iOS. It takes up all of the icon size and shape and that's how it would appear if it utilised frames on Samsung phones.
