I live in the US and need a UK sim card...

I live in the US and have friends in the UK...My problem...I just don't know which sim card to get so I can have a UK number so we can call and text one another. I have an unlocked phone already...They have 02 and I didn't know if I could get the o2 sim card or just go with an international sim card or which one to get...Please help me...

I was going to get a sim card that had a UK number with it since that is mainly what I have that phone is for. Right now the phone has no service and is unlocked and I was hoping that since they had the 02 sim that it wouldn't cost that much if I got it as well. That is if I can use it over here.

Is there any card better than using the same one the friend has 02...I have searched several sites..and really not sure if i can use some of them that are posted...if anyone has any clue if I can use any international sim card that has both UK and US numbers(which I don't need US number that comes with it. I mean if I buy a UK card..will it work in the US...most don't say..

If you were to use a UK SIM then your O2 friends will be able to use their free O2 calls to contact you. However, as you will be roaming in the US you will pay to receive the calls, but not SMS. You would have difficulty adding airtime to the SIM.
If you were to get an international SIM then you would benefit from cheaper calls/texts to your UK friends but they would pay more to call you.

You don't have to be over 18 to get a pay and go SIM! What's that got to do with the iPad and how do you know the OP is under 18?
