Since yesterday, every mail I send to a hotmail account (4 different accounts - hotmail.com & hotmail.co.uk) are being blocked for the following reason.
- These recipients of your message have been processed by the mail server:
address@hotmail.com; Failed; 5.3.0 (other or undefined mail system status)
Remote MTA mx1.hotmail.com: network error
- SMTP protocol diagnostic: 550 SC-002 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. The mail server IP connecting to Windows Live Hotmail has exhibited namespace mining behavior. I have my own domain, hosted elsewhere, with our own email servers, but because I use O2 broadband, I am forced to send mail via relay.o2broadband.co.uk
This hasn't been a problem until yesterday. It looks like hotmail is blocking the O2 relay server because of some bad behaviour. I have spoken to tech support, but they want to charge me for the call because the address I am using is not my O2 account. I think that is irrelevant in this casee, as the problem is related to the O2 relay server, the mail is coming directly from my Outlook account, not from my domain host server.
Does anyone have any idea as to how this can be resolved? If support can contact Hotmail and get the relay server unlisted.........
