Touchscreen on iPhone 4s

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have dropped my iPhone and it seems that the bottom half of the touch screen isn't working so I can't pick up texts and emails get the keyboard up. Does this mean I need a new screen fitted?

It could be a number of things due to impact damage.

If you have insurance thro your household or bank account then you many be able to claim.

Or seek advice through an apple genius bar or standalone shop.

The price could be £100+ to repair.

Sometimes the cost of a repair outweighs the cost of the phone.

Many thanks to Band of Brothers and MI5 for their replies. I am going to give the screen link MI5 sent a try. Will let you know outcome. I was going to put call forwarding on while I send it away as it is my business phone. However I cant enter the 0 as it is at the bottom of the screen. Any thoughts?

I'd just put my sim into another phone for the time the phone is away....
It shouldn't take too long to fix.....

Before sending it off try doing a hard reset - pressing and holding the power and home keys till the Apple logo appears. My wife had an identical problem on her 4s, doing this fixed it. You don't lose your data or anything btw, it's not like doing a reset.
