So I've just picked my iPhone 7 Plus up from the store and setting it up - but when I get to restore from previous backups and I click on my latest iPhone 6 backup it asks me to input the password of suchandsuch@outlook.com etc which is not my account?

Yeah I did it with itunes in the end - much easier..
I was at work so had to wait unfortunately.

But when I click skip it just shows me another email - how can it be encrypted to more than one email?

why not perform a new backup from your old phone again first?

I did do a back up from my old phone - every backup then asks me to input the password to someone else's apple ID. Even Apple had no idea why - anyway I had to do a restore from Itunes instead which is a major ballsache.

personally when I update my phone or IOS version, I always do it from iTunes, never the cloud, crap software, but always works for that
