Hi, at the end of last year I switched from virgin to o2 and didnt originally ask to swap my number as i didnt have the PAC code - when i got my sim i called o2 and got my number ported so now i can recieve texts from my old number but when i reply it goes out by the temporary number - whenever i try to go to settings > phone > my number and type in my old number to save it it doesn’t save and it just goes back to the temporary number, ive tried everything on the internet and cant get it to work, any suggestions?

You need to get a new blank sim and do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

If you go in store, they will do it for you or ask O2 to send you one,

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
