Just got new iPhone 4s, never had one before so very new to me. Have managed to set up my incoming mail using my normal settings from the computer and can receieve email. What are the outgoing mail server settings for O2? I put in my computer settings and that didn't work and so my server people said I would need them from O2.
ALSO tried to delete the messages and got the error Unable to Move Message - The message could not be moved to the mailbox trash.
How can I delete messages????
Help please - it would be really appreciated!

My server is a local company who we have used for ages. My emails worked fine on my nokia lumia 800 so I guess the problem is not their end. I will have a go at the suggestions but may need to wait for my son to put them in Will let you know how I get on!

1 Who provides your home broadband you need there outgoing mail server for it to work at home over wifi.
2 if you have a hosted email address you also need the o2 mail server setup as an additional smtp server to send when on the o2 network. Unless your hosted email supports authentication.

Thanks for that, can delete the messages now but still get the error message each time Any other suggestions? Apart from useless @@@@@@ shouldn't have been allowed the phone in the first place!

follow the settings for your isp here http://www.o2.co.uk/ispsettings o2 closed the email service a while ago apart from broadband customers

How can that possibly be correct? Why would O2 decide to stop all of their customers from sending email on their devices? Which is what pulling their SMTP service would mean...
