So, I have just joined O2 today, having switched over from three.. I received my sim the other day but with the bank holiday weekend I requested the number port to happen today, seems it’s switched over, but I can’t receive any texts, and my number isn’t activating for iMessage...

I’ve seen there are different versions of the data and mms settings kicking around, my phone automatically installed the settings but clearly something isn’t right. Should I switch the idata settings for the other ones, will this affect functionality, it’s quite frustrating on day one and not being able to message people unless it’s on data..

Messaging is the last of the services to be provisioned

It sounds like your data bolt on is incorrect so change the apn until you can get through to cs

Check the number is showing correctly in settings/mobile/my number

The phone number part is correct I’ve checked that part, so the settings should be the mobile.o2 ones and not the idata ones, just assumed the idata ones would be for the iPhone
