Iphone 4 s - random text messages & voice calling

Can anyone help me.  I have an iphone 4s, and have only had it one month.

Siri is turned off, yet it randomly rings people when it is in my bag even though it is locked with a pin. This also happened when I was abroad. I spoke to a 'guru' who told me to reboot, and that I hadnt been charged for any calls, but looking at my bill I have.

Yesterday, I sent a text message to someone, and when he showed me the message -it wasnt the message I sent.  Can you please advise, I have only had the phone amonth!

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

Siri is a voice command function so I'm confused on why you believe Siri activated the outgoing call.

Check that your Apple i.d is in the iPhone.

Settings > Messages > Send & Receive =The apple i.d is at the top of the screen.

Other remedies are : Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Or make a back up to iTunes and iCloud then either hook up to iTunes and restore or on your iPhone go into Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and then restore via your iCloud back up.

If these don't work then take your sim out of the iPhone and clean it and or visit an o2 store and ask them to complete a swap my sim which moves your number and tariff from your sim card to a new blank one.

Finally you could make an appointment at your most local Apple Store for a Genius to run a diagnostic.
