Help to unlock iPhone 4S without the O2 SIM

Anonymous

I'm trying to unlock my old iPhone 4S but have no longer got a micro sim for it. I put an EE micro SIM in but it's obviously not valid. The iPhone is seemingly locked itself. Message on screen:" SIM not valid or carrier not supported during current activation policy. Can someone advice please.

Hi,

Fill out the unlock form using your number you used with it as it will be latched to its imei, assuming you are an o2 Customer.

When o2 reply then put in another uk sim card in it and hook up to iTunes.

https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form

If you are not an o2 customer then get an 02 sim card, put £20 on it and make a few chargeable calls, and then they will take £15 fee off it for the unlock.

Depending on how long since it was used on O2 network you might have to use the PAYG unlock option.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
