It has to be a problem with the settings on your browser. Other people can access chat from an iPad without problem. Try clearing cache and cookies.

Which iPad are you using ?

Safari had been noted to reload open tabs to flush RAM which can cause issues if you have 2-3 tabs open.

This is why I now use another browser.

It does but it wouldn't be the reason for this particular issue.....

Yes.

Settings, safari, block pop ups toggle is there.
