02 blocked my phone by accident.

02 blocked my phone after they said it had been reported as stolen, it had not and came as a shock to me when I rang them to find out why it was not working. They promised to unblock it, this was 2 day's ago, still my phone is not working. As a disabled person who is vulnerable and on the 12 week isolation, my phone is vital to me. It is hard trying to get through to 02 at the moment due to short staffing because of the Corona virus, the automated service is dreadful to by pass. Any suggestions, as I am urgently waiting for a call from a hospital and the only number they have for me is the one that is now blocked. I have had to break my isolation to borrow someone else's phone to call 02 regarding this. So frustrating.

@LadyM

There are numerous numbers to call in this guide. Best time to try is now.

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Choose any option in order to get through. You need a lot of patience though.

Thank you, but I have no phone to call anyone on as, as I have said it has been blocked, so I am stuck.

Download Skype and use any of the free numbers @LadyM

Everything is taking longer due to the lockdown. Call centres and social distancing means limited staff to handle all the queries. Patience needed I'm afraid.

Apologies. You did say in your first post that you had borrowed a phone?
Anyway you can use Skype as mentioned by @jonsie ...

Hi, yes I had to come out of isolation to borrow a neighbour's phone, as a one off to ring 02. I don't have Corona, but have been identified as at risk so shielding. I can't ring my doctor's or the hospital, and at the risk of appearing stupid, I do not know the first thing about Skype, being a 60 year old techno phobe.

There are two guides here. One for downloading and using Skype on PC, the other is for using Skype on Mobile.

Both good guides and take you through the process step by step.
