My phone is now stuck on the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen (not the word I'd use right now), has anyone got any suggestions, or is it back to O2 with it?

No, but theres nothing really on there that I'm desperate to keep, all my contacts, music etc are synced with my computer

OK. At this point I'd be tempted to try a factory reset. All of your apps and setting will be lost if you do.

Just tried, it goes to a black screen with the little phone icon on and green arrow as if its foing an update, then a few seconds later reboots back to the HTC white screen.

Seems like its kaput and I'll have to visit o2 😞

It sounds like your phone is unable to access the SD card. Good luck.
