Samsung galaxy ace o2?
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace on o2, pay as you go,3 days ago. Each day I have received a message from o2 saying it's charging me £1 for data use although all I have done is send sms messages and made a couple of phone calls. Why am I being charged?
I have noticed use packet data in my settings and today I have unticked this box and ticked use only 2G networks, will this stop me being charged and have I checked the right box.
Will using only 2G stop me from accessing the Internet or sending/receiving mms
Can I still use my mobile on 2G in Florida USA when I go on holiday? Or do I have to use data pack and be charged again.
(I have never had an android phone before). and never had a problem with other phones (I only ever got charged if I went on the Internet or sent mms) but I seem to be getting charged everyday when I am using nothing?
Thank you for any advice.

you have apps on your phone which constantly update so will use data (weather etc). You can disable as you have done above and this should stop it. Data is independent of calls and texts so it will not effect any other functions. When in Florida will will need to enable roaming in your network settings for your phone to work on US networks....
